Read the 2005 Task Force report, Public Sociology and The Roots of American Sociology: Re-Establishing Our Connections to The Public

Read the 2007 Task Force Report, Draft Guidelines on Promotion and Tenure: The Task Force on Institutionalizing Public Sociology is asking the ASA Council to approve these as model guidelines that could potentially be adopted by interested departments as they work to promote and reward public sociology activities among their faculty. These will be undergoing further review by the TF before being re-submitted to ASA Council at their early 2007 meeting.
